Proofty privacy policy

Proofty ("the app") helps Shopify merchants create personalization proofs and collect customer approval before production. This policy explains what the app processes when a merchant installs it.

Data we process

• Store information: store domain, name and contact email, used to operate the app and send merchant notifications.
• Order data for personalized items: order number, line item title, personalization values (line item properties such as names, dates or uploaded image links), and the customer's name and email address — used only to render the proof and email the approval link.
• Proof images rendered by the app or uploaded by the merchant.
• Approval records: decision, optional comment, time, IP address and browser user agent of the person approving, kept as proof of approval for the merchant.
• Product data: product titles and images selected by the merchant for templates.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app's features to the merchant who installed it. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties other than the service providers needed to run the app (hosting, file storage and transactional email delivery), which process it on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

• When Shopify sends a customer redaction request, we delete that customer's proofs, images and approval records.
• When a merchant uninstalls the app, all store data is deleted within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request.
• Customer data requests forwarded by Shopify are answered by sending the merchant a copy of the stored data.

Your rights

Customers in the EEA, UK and other regions have rights to access, correct and delete their personal data. Because merchants control their store data, please contact the store you ordered from; we will support them in fulfilling your request.
